Hello, my name is Adam. I was on Centrelink for a few years, during this time I had been on a number of courses and training sessions, that just went on my resume and got me nowhere. I got told about the Tyre Technician Course from my job provider representative. At the end of the week I didn't get a slip of paper saying I had completed a Cert 1 of tire something or other, what I got was two-fold, a reference from an experienced and knowledgeable expert in the industry to vouch for what I had done in my time there and crucially, help. Natalie and Marteen where excellent help, within only a few days of them using their connections in the industry to recommend me to people, Natalie had gotten me a three-day trial as a tire fitter at Barbagello. Thankfully, I passed my trial and got hired on as a part time trainee, where I got to work on some of the nicest cars I had ever seen, learn and gain experience in this field, until just recently when I was hired on full time. This course may not be for everyone one, but I couldn’t recommend it more for anyone who wants to quickly start working in the automotive industry.
I wanted to say thank you very much for organising the Customer Service & Engagement programme. It was a great programme especially for a new migrant seeking for an employment in this current economic situation. This programme - personally found it very informative and useful. Also, sharing your work experience as a recruitor on how’s the application process like. Your patience and hard work of editing every resumes and cover letters were astounding and keeping every job seekers happy and satisfied. I will have no hesitation in attending more of this programme.

This course offers motivated candidates the opportunity to improve their customer service offering, and developing key resilience strategies. Candidates completing the 4 day course also receive mentoring and interview technique training, the production of a professional resume plus job opportunities.
This is an intensive training program which exposes candidates to both light and heavy tyres. They cover units which include Communicate effectively in an automotive workplace, removing wheel assemblies from vehicles [jacking/torquing] and Workplace Safety. Job Seekers completing the course are offered a 3 day work trial, which introduces them to the employers, and allows them to show their capabilities to gain a permanent position.
